The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah has assured His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Kumasi Traditional Council and the entire region that the deplorable nature of the Kumasi Roads will soon be a thing of the past.

According to the minister, the Akufo Addo led administration is committed to ensure the development of Kumasi and it's environs.

Simon Osei Mensah made the disclosure at a press conference organized by the Ashanti regional Coordinating Council together with the Kumasi Mayor, Emmanuel Osei Assibey Antwi and some MMDCE's in the Ashanti region in reaction to the numerous criticisms from a section of the public on the state of roads in the Kumasi metropolis and it's environs.

The Coordinating Council also took the opportunity to react to some unguarded remarks made by the former President John Dramani Mahama at the Unity Walk organized in Kumasi on last Saturday, 28th April, 2018.

The Minister vehemently rejected claims by the opposition NDC that the region has been sidelined by the NPP government.

Mr. Osei Mensah further condemned the statement by the former President John Mahama and charged him to carry himself as a Stateman so that Ghanaians will accord him with that respect since respect is reciprocal.

He said drivers plying the Anloga Junction -Airport Roundabout,Suame-Sofoline Interchange, Santasi Roundabout to Ahodwo roundabout will soon see portable Asphalt roads ,adding that all the ring roads will be reshaped with Asphalt.
