The Church of Pentecost - Ghana has elected a new Chairman to take over from Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah who retires after ten years of devoted service.

Apostle Eric Nyamekye, the current area head of Koforidua in the Eastern Region was overwhelmingly endorsed by the Electoral College of the church on Thursday, May 3, 2018 to steer the affairs of the church.

The Electoral College gave Apostle Nyamekye 147 ‘Yes’ votes as against four 'No' votes out of the total 151.

What is left is the general council of Church of Pentecost to confirm him as the next chairman, after been accepted by the college of APOSTLES and PROPHETS.

A retirement service will be held for Apostle Prof Onyinah who is retiring after 42- years of service at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC) at Gomoa Feteh on May 5, 2018

The 64-year-old Apostle Onyinah succeeded Apostle Dr. Michael Ntumy in 2008 as the fifth chairman of the Church of Pentecost.
