Head Coach of Wa All Stars, Sarfo Castro has parted ways with the club just after one month in charge of the Northern Blues, SilverFM can exclusively confirm.

Confirming his departure on SilverSports midday edition ‘SportsCenter’ with King Eben on Monday, Coach Sarfo cited personal reasons for his resignation from the Upper West based GPL side.

The trainer’s decision comes following a 1-1 draw in matchday 12 encounter against WAFA SC on Sunday.

He took up the mantle from former coach Alhaji Mumuni Sokpari who was told to step aside after just 3 matches in the Ghana Premier League.

Sarfo however, has not been able to bring sparkle to the Wa based club since he took up the mantle.

Since his appointment, Coach Castro has failed to win a single game after 7 game in charge. He has drawn 3 games and lost 4 including back to back drawn games against Liberty Professionals and WAFA SC.

Sarfo had rich experience from his days as Asante Kotoko assistant coach and was substantively in-charge of Heart of Lions and Okwahu United. The former Ghana Premier League champions are languishing at the bottom of the league table with 7 points after 12 matches.

Wa All Stars, owned by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kwesi Nyantakyi won the StarTimes Gala which ushered in the new season.
