Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko drew 1-1 against Tanzanian side Simba SC in an international friendly game played on Wednesday at the National Stadium to commemorate the Simba Day celebrated annually.
The Tanzanian champions needed to rally from a goal down to salvage a point in the game.
The Porcupine Warriors got into the lead in the 44th minute after striker Obed Owusu capitalized on a rebound from a Michael Yeboah effort.
Simba levelled matters in the 75th minute from Okwi to have the game end in a stalemate.
Before the game, Simba SC unveiled their new signings including Ugandan born Rwandese International Meddie Kagere who was recently signed from Gor Mahia.
Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan kept his side in the game by saving a penalty and was named man of the match.
