Former Ashanti Regional Minister under the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama administration, Peter Anarfi Mensah has been reported dead.

The late former headmaster of the Tepa Senior High School died on admission at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital after he was involved in an car accident weeks earlier, Martina Anarfi , daughter of the late politician revealed.

According to reports , the former Minister was cleaning one of his vehicles at home when it mistakenly reversed and hit him leaving him with multiple fractures and other life-threatening injuries.

“We rushed him to the Komfo Anokye Hospital where he was on admission receiving treatment. Former President Jerry John Rawlings and Ibrahim Mahama visited him at the facility a week ago”, the source added.

He was however pronounced dead on Monday morning according to the daughter of the late politician.

The body has since been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Mortuary with 'some of the family members still at the facility to see to final and proper embalming of the former Minister.
