The management of the two GPL giants Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak have officially penned down a deal for the two legged tie between the glamorous clubs at the True Vine Hotel in Kumasi.
The first leg of the Super 2 clash will be played at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, 26 August 2018.
The clash which is expected to keep players in shape whiles football activities in the country are halted is also deemed to revive the pedigree of these clubs as the two most powerful giants in African football.
SilverSports analyst, Anane TheDefender delivering minute by minute update on the event reported that the two sides have agreed on a 50-50 sharing of game proceeds.
The winner of the match bags home a glittering trophy plus a cash amount of GHC10,000.
He added that two clubs have also petitioned the Referees Association of Ghana to provide confident referees for the 2- legged tie slated August 26 and September 02.
The management of the two sides have also landed a broadcast deal with StarTimes Ghana to cover the two legged tie.
According to a statement, Chinese Pay-TV company has become the media and marketing right holders of matches.
The deal was signed on Monday, 20 August 2018 in Accra at the secretariat of Hearts of Oak.
George Amoako, newly-appointed CEO signed on behalf of Asante Kotoko and Mark Noonan penned his signature for Hearts of Oak.
