Asante Kotoko have announced the signing of Ivorian midfielder Mohammed Sylla after the player successfully completed regulatory processes at the GPL side.
The central Midfielder passed his medicals and signed a 2 year deal with the club.
He becomes the second signing for the porcupine warriors in the transfer business.
"We’re delighted to welcome Sylla to the club. He's a strong and gifted player and we have no doubt he'd add a lot of quality to our play," club Communications Chief, Obed Acheampong, told www.asantekotokosc.com.
Kotoko are looking to beef up it's FA cup winning squad of last season as they look set to challenge for more silverware in the coming season.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko will host Accra Hearts of Oak on December 24, in the second leg of the Ghana @60 celebration game.
The game which was initially scheduled for May 28th was called off after the Ghana FA failed to sanction the match due to the schedule of the Ghana Premier League.
Hearts of Oak will go into the game with a commanding 3-1 scoreline recorded at the Accra Sports Stadium but will be wary of their opponent who recently wallop them 3-1 in the MTN FA Cup final.
Both teams were given GHC 50,000 each in appearance fees and will receive the same amounts for the return leg. The overall winner will get a trophy which will be presented by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo
