The Black Stars of Ghana have dropped four places from 5oth to 54th in the latest FIFA men’s ranking released on Thursday.

However Ghana maintained its eighth spot in African continent behind first placed Tunisia, second placed Senegal, Congo DR, Morocco, Egypt, Cameroon and Nigeria.

The Black Stars missed out on the 2018 World Cup having made appearances in the 2006 World Cup in Germany, 2010 edition in South Africa and the 2014 version in Brazil that was troubled with controversies.

Germany remained at the summit of a static top 15 with Brazil and Portugal occupying the 2nd and 3rd spots respectively.

Iceland have climbed to an all-time high position of 18th in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking. The rise of the FIFA World Cup™-bound Icelanders (18th, up 2) is one of the more notable changes in a February table left largely unaltered by a quiet period of international action.

The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on 15 March 2018.
