An aspiring First Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party for the Ashanti Region, Kwabena Senkyire, has vowed to crush any individual or group that tries to resist his bid to contest for the position in the region.

Kwabena Senkyire, who is the NADMO coordinator of Ashanti Region is poised to contest this First Vice Chairmanship position and will still not resign or step down from his current appointment by the NPP government.

“I am ready to face any individual. I will not bow down to any pressure to resign from my government appointment in order to contest for the party position”

The Ashanti Regional Coordinator of NADMO who doubles as the Assembly Member of Dichemso electoral area came up with this remarks on SilverFM ‘OmanbapaShow’ following a release by a group calling itself Concerned Youth in the region, urging party members who have been appointed by the government to hold various positions to step down if they want to contest for positions in the upcoming NPP regional elections.

“I know where these people are coming from so if they want me to act as Delta Force, then I must tell them, my boys and I are ready and will crush all of them.” He fumed.

“I was recommended by the elders of Concerned Citizens of Ashanti Region to save the party from its numerous challenges in the region….This Concerned Youth of Ashanti Region are not from the NPP”

“The General Secretary, on behalf of the party spelt it out clearly that, all party Executives, Metropolitan and Municipal Chief Executives are to rather step down from their party positions for about four years before contesting in any party elections’

Kwabena Senkyire claimed that, the operations of the Group is being controlled by his opponents of the First Chairmanship race, adding that despite their actions ‘the fire is still burning and I am winning’.

“I promise you I am going to win this race” he said.

The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), will from March 20 to 24, 2018, open nomination for candidates, and from 27th to 31st of March vet nominees seeking positions at the regional level of the party.
